Real Madrid – Arsenal Preview

Real Madrid hosts Arsenal at the Santiago Bernabeu in a second leg from the Champions League 1/4-finals. The Spanish side, current holders of the trophy, have an incredibly tough task after a heavy 0-3 defeat in the first match. Let’s preview that in our football tips today.

The first leg at the Emirates became a pure nightmare for Carlo Ancelotti’s team. In the second half of the match Arsenal scored three times and took a serious advantage. Declan Rice scored twice from a free kick situations while Mikel Merino scored the third one.

What can Ancelotti do now to make a miracle? He can’t use Eduardo Camavinga who got sent off at the Emirates while some key players remain injured. What Real Madrid needs the most now is their star strikers. Players like Mbappe, Vinicius, Rodrygo and Bellingham have to play much better compared to the first match.

Fran Garcia and Lucas Vasquez could return in the line-up for Madrid. Both of them started from the bench in London.

Arsenal don’t have a reason to make too many changes in the line-up and most probably they won’t. Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka shall keep supporting Mikel Merino upfront while Declan Rice, Thomas Partey and Martin Odegaard will take their usual positions in midfield.

Arsenal’s biggest problem remains the absence of the star defender William Saliba. In the first leg he was replaced by Jakub Kiwior and Arsenal kept a clean sheet. Now Kiwior has to be at the same level because Madrid will press a lot at the Bernabeu – they will be looking for goals.

That’s the football tips today for the Champions League 1/4-finals second leg between Real Madrid and Arsenal. Real Madrid made a lot of amazing things in the competition, but can they create another miracle? Or Arsenal are reaching the Top 4?
